About Camp Orr

  • Boy scout camp located on the Buffalo River in Jasper, AR
  • Amenities include Campsites, Canvas Tents, Cabins, Bathrooms, Showers, a Sports Field, Hiking Trails, a Dining Hall, Access to the Buffalo River, etc.
  • The road down to the camp is very rough. You’ll be fine in a truck or an SUV, but a sedan might not make it.
    • There will be a sign with instructions on how to call a shuttle
    • The shuttle will be available during registration
    • You can park at BRC at the top of the hill!

Considerations Before Arrival and Gear Recommendations

  • There is no cell service (bring a map)
    • There will be WiFi at main facilities
  • There is minimal lighting at night (bring flashlights, lanterns, and/or headlamps!)
  • The terrain is very rough (bring comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing)
  • Insect repellant is recommended
  • Bring bedding if you signed up for a canvas tent or cabin
  • Bring a reusable water bottle
  • Biodegradable confetti cannons are encouraged
  • BRING CASH NO CARD OR DIGITAL PAYMENTS

Camp Rules

  • Please only smoke in designated areas
  • Clean up after yourself, as the scouts would say “Leave no trace”
  • No fires
  • Please do not cut down trees, even dead ones apparently
  • Only service animals allowed
  • No drugs or alcohol, you addicts
